Rules of the Challenge: |
| Duration: | Should be 14 days to the hour |
| Departure: | 12:00 on the 4th May 2007 from Buckingham Palace |
| Return: | 12:00 on the 18th May 2007 at Buckingham Palace |
| Team: | Gareth Jones, Mathew Piper, Lloyd Jones |
| Objective: | Whilst attempting to travel from London to Moscow and back again, visit as many European Capital cities within the allotted time as is possible. |
| Total Cities possible: | There are 48 European Capital Cities |
| Travel rules : | All Journeys between cities must be done by road in our 1980 VW camper van – no other means of travel are acceptable (the only exception to this rule will be for crossings between the UK and mainland europe, the crossings will be via the Dover to Calais ferry. Once within capital cities suburban travel facilities may be used. |
| Proof: | Proof of being in each capital city will be by photo. All members of the team must be photographed by each capitals most famous/well known monument. |
| Good Cause: | All sponsorship money raised will be given to Cancer Research UK |
| Sponsorship: | Each sponsor will select an amount they are willing to give dependent on the amount of capital cities we manage to visit within the allotted time, hence the amount each sponsor gives will depend on our level of achievement. (Due to popular demand we are now also offering the option to sponsor us a set amount for the entire tour. We have adjusted the online sponsorship form to reflect this) |
| Additional Sponsorship: | A traditional/themed souvenir will be purchased from each capital visited. Sponsors may pay an additional £1 to guess the overall mileage of our tour with the person guessing closest to the exact mileage winning all the souvenirs! |
